All this talk about Viagra not being a aphrodisiac and not increasing sexual potency of non impotent males is driving me crazy and is costing PFE investors money.Myself and about 6-7 guys I work with(most in their 20s and 30s)and who have experimented with it sit around and laugh our butts of when we hear this.Ever Consumer Reports said the usual misinformation <<Don't take Viagra if you're not impotent. It's not an aphrodisiac. Nor does it improve sexual performance in men who can achieve a healthy erection>>.I can tell they didn't check it out themselves, but I'll bet they had some fun thinking about different apparatus to develop to test it.I know we can place most of the blame for this misinformation on PFE because they insist it only works for impotence(trying to keep the lawyers at bay I guess is their reasoning??)I guess that's good business and I do trust their judgement on this matter.I assume they know word of mouth will eventually win out over the media and my prediction is most of the money made from Viagra will be from us non impotent guys just trying to please Betty Sue.

>>With only 101 adverse effects reported out of 2.5 million Rxs, with some of these reports being duplicates, I think Viagra can now be declared a safe drug. Even if you consider that 2 million different people (rest being refills) have tried Viagra the % of adverse effects is a puny 0.005% of the population, in an age group that is well above
50 yrs. I like those odds.>>

You cannot assume that viagra is safe on this evidence as we do not know how many other problems/deaths have arisen in men taking viagra but never admitting it. Many men might be shy to admit to using viagra to their partners - or they might not - who knows?

Philippine Senator To Seek Probe In Delay Of Viagra OK
June 28, 1998 4:21 PM

MANILA (AP)--A Philippine senator said Sunday he
would seek a congressional investigation into the delay in
approving the anti-impotence drug Viagra for use in the
Philippines, which has led to black market sales.

Sen. Blas Ople said smuggled Viagra could endanger
users, citing the case of a teacher who was recently
hospitalized in central Cebu city after taking Viagra he
bought on the black market.

Health officials have warned that taking fake Viagra or
improper usage could harm users. They said tests were
being done to determine the drug's possible side effects
and local distribution may not be possible until late this
year.

Ople said he has asked the Senate committee on health
to summon health department and other government
officials to explain the delay. The Philippine Congress is
to open July 27 but its committees could start work
earlier, he added.

"We have millions of senior citizens obviously at risk.
There is no need to wait," Ople said in a statement.
