David,

What says me?

I say that there are three very significant company developments that will be announced in due time. Each will add value. They will help BANY move through it's 12 month high. Higher if the short position gets hit.

I think BANY feels that there is a large short position in their stock...although they really don't want to comment on it.

Therse shares will need to be covered. It is an old story....but may surface again......as the stock becomes stronger at higher levels.

How about a good week......36 cents on no news.

DELL COMPUTER SELECTS BANYAN'S DOUBLECASE UNIT AS ITS PROVIDER
OF HARD-SIDED PROTECTIVE CARRYING CASES FOR NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS

Banyan Introduces Four New Dell-Specific DoubleCase Products

Colorado Springs, Colorado - June 29, 1998 -- Banyan Corporation (OTC
Bulletin Board -- BANY) announces that Dell Computer Corporation
(NASDAQ: DELL) will begin offering Banyan's DoubleCase line of
hard-sided protective carrying cases as an option on new notebook
computer purchases. Dell will first make DoubleCase products
available through its Federal Group (government sales), then later
through corporate and consumer sales channels.

Designed for uncompromising protection of notebook computers, Banyan's
DoubleCase product line offers many times the level of protection of
competing soft-sided carrying cases while remaining extremely
competitive in areas of storage capacity, weight, current styling,
ease-of-use, and cost. DoubleCase products are quality built and
backed by a lifetime guarantee.

Dell is the world's leading direct computer systems company with
revenues of $13.6 billion over the past four quarters and is ranked
number 125 in the Fortune 500(r) list of companies. Dell was recently
named the third largest supplier of notebook computers in the United
States by market research firm International Data Corporation. During
the first quarter 1998 Dell experienced 104% growth in its U.S.
notebook sales and 85% growth in its worldwide notebook sales, giving
it a 12% and 7.3% overall market share, respectively. Based on these
growth rates, Dell is currently the fastest growing manufacturer of
notebook computers in the world.

Dell designs and customizes products and services to end-user
requirements, and offers an extensive selection of peripherals and
software through its DellWare(r) program. More information on Dell
may be found through its Internet site at www.dell.com.

In conjunction with being selected by Dell as a provider of hard-sided
protective carrying cases, Banyan announces four new Dell-specific
DoubleCase products designed especially for the Dell Inspiron(r) line
of notebook computers: NB-3000DL, NB-3020DL, NB-4000DL, and the
NB-5060DL.

Based on the popular DoubleCase 3000-series product line, the new
NB-3000DL and NB-3020DL are sleek, thin profile cases with customized
foam fitted interiors. Both cases contain enough room to hold the
Dell notebook computer and a few accessory products. The NB-3020DL
has all of the features of the NB-3000DL, plus an additional
briefcase-styled portfolio lid for organizing documents, files, disks,
pens, and cards.

Expanding on the Executive DoubleCase 4000-series, the new NB-4000DL
safely contains the Dell notebook computer and assorted accessories in
the base. As with the other DoubleCase 4000-series cases, the
NB-4000DL contains a full-sized briefcase portfolio lid for organizing
documents, files, disks, pens and cards.

Banyan is also introducing a Dell-specific variant of its
top-of-the-line Mobile Office DoubleCase 5000-series, the new
NB-5060DL. As with other DoubleCase 5000-series cases, the NB-5060DL
offers twice as much storage space as the other new models. The
NB-5060DL securely contains the Dell notebook computer and smaller
accessories in the base while allowing for larger accessories such as
portable printers, storage devices, etc. to be secured and stored in
the lid.

Cameron Yost, Banyan's President and Chief Executive Officer, stated,
"We are very excited to be working with a company of Dell's caliber
and vision. As the fastest growing notebook computer manufacturer in
the world, Dell is well positioned to set the new standards in
notebook computing. Dell's selection of Banyan's DoubleCase line of
hard-sided protective carrying cases underscores Dell's commitment to
providing its customers with the highest quality products and services
at the best possible price." Mr. Yost added, "We look forward to
working with Dell and other manufacturers to develop new products
tailored especially for the needs of their customers and the rapidly
growing notebook computer market."

Banyan Corporation is a publicly held holding company with operating
subsidiaries engaged in designing, manufacturing and marketing a
variety of accessory products, including a full line of hard-sided
protective carrying cases for the notebook computer market - the
fastest growing segment of the personal computer industry. Banyan's
products are currently available through distribution from Ingram
Micro and sold through a wide variety of computer mail order catalogs,
several of the largest U.S. computer retailers, Value Added Resellers
(VARs), a number of overseas vendors, and the U.S. government.
