I can think of several other reasons why an IR firm might summarily quit a client. A good one is that they discovered that the client lied to them. Another is that they discover that the client may have broken the law.

But how sure are we that ICC really has resigned the account? Has it been confirmed by either company?

PitBull,
PR firms normally take money up front, so I don't think "no pay" has anything to do with anything. Like you, I don't believe the ICC/PKGP breakup rumor. I have seen no evidence that ICC and PKGP have severed any ties. They are simply not listing PKGP on their web site.
ICC is not listing PKGP because PKGP is for all intents and purposes, non-existent..finished..kaput...adios.
I have received email news releases as recently as Tuesday of this week about PKGP from ICC.

IMO, The next release will be about the symbol change and possible skynet deal being finalized.

I have also seen several posts from some on this thread about ICC and the PKGP not being very friendly on the phone. Both of these companies have their hands full with all of the details that must still be completed. They simply do not have time to be answering everyone's concerns.

S~

I called ICC on Friday and they indicated no one was there that could comment on what was going on at PKGP. They would not say if they still handled PKGP or not. The person was very sorry they could not help me. It did not sound like a side step. It sounded like this person was not qualified or allowed to provide information. I asked when someone would be able to assist me. This person indicated it would be on Monday. I had the impression the right people were off that day.

I called PKGP and they indicated the people I needed were in meetings and not available. They asked for my number and stated they would have some one call me as soon as possible. I did not receive a call back while I was in. But I did leave several times to take care of business and I don't use an answer machine.

Friday's are bad days for lots of businesses and many people take off early for the weekends. I am hoping that's all this amounts too. Lets hope so. I am sure I will receive that call on Monday morning early.
