speaking speaking woof woof :) more and more people are leaving this thread for good and unbookmarking it, i have unbookmarked it a few times myself and then bookmarked it again, because sometimes in the mire i see something good...Big Dog started a chat room and web site I understand, have not been there. I have been wrong to think some of the dog-butt kissers here were in at the bottom tier along with him, because they eventually show up burned & with huge money lost...they were just trusting souls..many people think shoot 1st can be obnoxious, and i will be the first to admit he does cross the line in being obnoxious, but shoot 1st does not sucker people into buying stuff, nor does he hype and he should be respected for this, and my guess is shoot 1st is probably a better investor and trader than those who have been burned and burned big...i learned within a week of trading pennies you don't JUMP on stuff, you do DD, it is good DD that will win every time, and you can feel good about what you are holding even if it doesn't go up right away, and even if it drops a little.. I try to post DD here, and a few people pm me that they think it is good DD and they appreciate it, but for the most part my supposedly good dd and efforts get lost in the muck here. Momentum plays are dangerous at best. maybe there should be a new cafe thread started where there is real and viable dd posted for companies the posters believe in. I tried to start a thread called the patchwork quilt where i would throw out symbols of penny stocks that might be interesting but needed further DD, the thread died. Maybe over the next few months people will appreciate due diligence more and post messages with more content. I try to add something valuable to SI, as many others do, but how often does it get lost between the people posting moment by moment bid and ask prices of the hype of the day.it gets lost fast and forgotton fast, and who wants to read a big heap of messages to find one decent post that contains valuable information that would lead to further DD? I think shoot 1st would actually post about good things he finds if there wasn't such crap here. So would others. So maybe the only solution is there should be a THERE and not a here? (new thread) and maybe on the new cafe thread, whoever starts it, maybe it can start out clean, and if we are lucky, stay clean. Maybe I am just wasting my breath.

So what you are saying is? To have been Big Dogs friend was to be first in line to be screwed? Glad I wasn't a friend, at least that gave me the insight to check out trading logs before his picks came to the board.

Interesting conversation this morning. I have only been in on one Big Dog pick recently NBET, and should have gone with my first instinct which was NOT. However I got caught up in this great news hype, and figured what the heck I'm up so I picked up a small amount. I did my DD, and the company looked good, what I wasn't thinking about was the governments bill to regulate and limit gambling. What concerns me is the big news that Big Dog talked about. There hasn't been any, why?? who knows, who cares. Has the credibility suffered, Lets just say I haven't bought anymore picks. Is it Big Dog ? I tend to believe that it may be more the MM's response lately to anyone's picks it is pretty clear to me that they are taking advantage of the hype in a big way. The last few picks anyone has made seem to go the other way immediately. Is everyone a hype, I don't think so, do the market makers short all public picks? Yes in my opinion, why not, there is just not enough buying volume anymore to keep things going.
