And this is what they are doing.

In fact, Intel has ALWAYS done this - move to new interface connections with higher performance.

The difference now is that Intel is making a major effort to PROTECT their new developments - so they can profit by their own innovation - and let the Clones 'R Us crowd either pay a licensing fee or innovate on their own.

After all - who is bemoaning the fact that Cyrix has kept its MediaGX interface PROPRIETARY and has REFUSED TO GIVE IT AWAY FOR FREE TO INTEL?
