I have also discovered that there are co-marketing accounts which get contributions from the retail chain and also from CPQ, based on volume of units actually sold. These are also paid to a corporate account. Assuming the chain was going to do the advertising anyway, this looks to me like another 'discount' that does not show up in the margins as seen by a store or district manager. I don't know the percentage value of these kinds of contribution but it is certainly part of the equation at the end of the day.
