Excellent post. I never read such thoughts without acknowledging again and again how difficult it is to overcome or set aside one's emotions, nor without appreciating the benefits of computer/program trading because it is probably well nigh impossible for all but a very select few to keep emotions out of the way completely. And frankly, I wrestle with that issue a lot because to the degree that one is able to set aside emotion completely something very human and humane is lost in the process, namely concern for one's fellow man, and woman. In this regard investing is an extraordinarily cold activity. DB
