There has been talk of integrating Alpha into the ProLiant line in late 1998 but I doubt if that will happen since typical CPQ development cycles for servers run more than a year. More likely these will be products which were already on the DEC roadmap but not announced. I would expect the first 'real' CPQ Alpha products in mid-99 if past experience is any guide.

DEC is rumored to have a very large SMP configuration code named 'wildfire' for introduction at the end of 98. According to Client-Server News this will be a system capable of up to 64 processors.
