<<Am glad you're alright, and that you let someone know who could pass the word along just in case someone wanted to know.>>

Well, here is a wonderful example of cryptic, Mike. Did I let someone know anything at all? I am so confused most of the time! What does this mean? Maybe you could private message me. Oh, a new verb form. Wheee!!!!!!!!!! What fun!!!!!!!!!! Talk about poetic license. Gee, and following that along, I don't think I have url'ed anyone anything today, either. Maybe later. Oh no!! I think I am starting to sound like Jane. Whatever, or something, huh?

Speaking of confused, I think this is really an interesting poem, again by Jill Jones, the Irishwoman who lives in Australia. She is obviously writing here from an Australian perspective, since she refers to dingoes. However, I am not quite sure who the evil group is about whom she is writing. Mike, or anyone else who has any ideas, please pipe up with your ideas, because I am very curious. Where is George Montgomery when you need him? He is very good at figuring out poems. I think I will post to him, and see what happens.

The Pure in Heart

They have taken babies
and blamed it on dingoes,
have planted foul words
on the righteous tongues
of six-year old bigots.

They have joined hands
with the makers
of warheads, purification
and sub-Arctic famines.

They have studied love
and found it wanting.

They have flushed their water
throught cataracts of ice.
They praise the numbers
in their heavy books.

Some of them watch you,
monitor your garbage
for glimpses of hell.
Be careful, they think
their destiny is to drink
from your children.

Jill Jones
