Fujitsu's IP effort to lift ASIC sales
By Crista Souza

Silicon Valley- Fujitsu Ltd. today will unveil a program to help ease
intellectual-property reuse among its overseas affiliates in an effort to spur
ASIC sales in the United States.

The program, known as IPware, may add some substance to Fujitsu's
otherwise generic ASIC technology, and enable its U.S. chip arm, Fujitsu
Microelectronics Inc. (FMI), to home in on the high-end graphics and
communications markets, analysts said.
