Hebrews 8:8-12: 8: For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10: For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12: For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. You said: In these verses Paul is actually showing that the old covenant has been fulfilled and the new covenant established. When Christians are Born Again, God fill them with the Holy Spirit and thus writes His laws on their hearts and puts them in their minds. I say: Emile, Where does it say in these versus that the Old Covenant is fulfilled? I see it clearly says, "because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.". And that is true! They did not uphold his covenant. It says he will provide a New Covenant with them, but never says the Old Convenant is fulfilled, or invalidated! Also, the Lord says, "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah". What is your definition of the house of Israel and house of Judah? Why do you suppose he says he is going to make a covenant with 2 different sets of people? Or is he saying the same set of people twice? To me repeating the same set of people 2 times, that makes no sense. Why would God do such a thing? Please lets pray and speak about these versus mentioned in this post only. I'll get to your other posts, 1 by 1. But let's exhaust all the possibilities in this one first. My brother Emile, thank you for spending time with me to get to the bottom of this mystery. I really appreciate it, my brother in Christ! Please be patient with me and I will be with you! God Bless You, Steve
