hello there i hope someone can help me.
i am thinking of buying some calls on GMGC august 10 calls
at 3 1/2 the current price stock price is 12 1/2 . there new service
starts on july 30 so i think between now and then there will be some news out to drive the stock price back up to the 15-17 range . if i have this right i am only a dollor out of break even price ?
is this right ? also does it cost more to buy one contract or five contracts .i trade with waterhouse.

Well, it's an interesting although cynical viewpoint. I have to tell you that it is very rare that I have a stop in and it blows by me so suddenly that I get filled well past it.

I think the worst fill I ever had on a stop was perhaps 0.50 below the stop and that happened only once.

Occasionally I have been filled @ 0.30 but usually it ranges from dead-on to 0.20.....

As far as trying to enter the market 0.20 below the bid I find that a market order gets me in where the market is ticking at the time. If I'm a few seconds late and it has started to move then putting the order in below the market would not help much anyway.

There may be some logic in what the fellow is saying but I'm missing it; more important is the method that the guy had to determine direction and the timing I would think, and not trying exotic entry methods such as underselling the bid.
