Thanks for the rec on The End of Violence. Seems as though I read a review of it, but I can't recall what it was about. Since you and I are likely part of the minority who liked The Dead, I'll probably like this one as well. Now to find it and find some time to go!

Hey X, etc -
Saw Shallow Grave and Swimming with Sharks this weekend, and recommend both. Especially Shallow Grave, which was by the creator of Trainspotting, but which was pretty much devoid of drug use. Clever character development, plot development, and the rest of that.

I enjoyed Kicking and Screaming, though I thought the dialog wasn't as snappy as the (intentionally) smarmy characters thought it was. However, being exactly in their boat, as a late 20-something with that fear of growing up/old, I totally connected with the situation...
