Flickerful, I looked at the PC Mag site and found an article on agents, but it didn't say much. Do you have a link? On the topic of agents, just for the fun of it, here's a few examples of what I would like Portico (using agents) to do. I think some of them can be implemented today. Some are just off the wall. ;) 1) Portico reads an email from a customer in another state who would like to meet with me next Tuesday. I instruct my Portico agent to book a flight for that day, and ensure I have x amount of time for the meeting. It would then interact directly with, say, MS Expedia's agent to find and book a flight for me, rent a car, and also check drive times to the location. It could then page me, or wait till I call Portico again, and present the itinerary/price for me to confirm or cancel. It would have my preferences so it could make an intelligent selection based on what options MS Expedia's agent presents. 2) I'm on vacation staying in a beach front home and would like to go out to eat somewhere nice with a view and good french food. I ask Portico for a recommendation. Portico interacts with a site, maybe Fodor's I don't know, that brings up a list of restaurants that meets my criteria. Maybe it also checks that list against reviews by some other site. Then, per my preferences, it narrows the list, and presents it to me. I select one, and instruct it to book a reservation with that restaurant (assuming the restaurant has an online site for reservations). 3) Portico alerts me in real time if shorts have invaded GMGC's SI thread. lol ;) 4) I'm on the road, and ut oh, I forgot to send Mother's day flowers. I call Portico who contacts my florist and FTD's it out that day. (Of course, Portico should've reminded me of this anyway.);) 5) Primarily for Magicphone, I would like it to filter out solicitors. I want to easily tell Magicphone after I get one of those obnoxious calls (which is more times then anyone should have to suffer through) to black list that number. (Telephone spam control) 6) Allow me to get weather and traffic updates for the city I'm in. And, maybe even directions. Just throwing around a couple pennies...
