Dave, SFNB is interesting. Having sold the bank Royal Bank of Canada, it is now a Technology company. IMO, SFNB may be a threat to Quicken or Money and not to Checkfree. For Checkfree to make a difference, they need more clients like AT&T. Recently I came across Remittance Centers operated by TRW and Travelers. When I mail my check to pay Bell Atlantic, it really goes to TRW's center in PA and they in turn send electronic transactions to Bell Atlantic for their reconciliation. It looks like, Checkfree will be competing with these centers and they are formidable and well entrenched.
