I'm guessing Sippl, who not surprisingly had no problem with the name Inprise, was dismissed. If I were to expand on that guess I would say Sippl was overstepping his bounds, probably brought on by dissatisfaction over the direction of his stock holdings. VSGN was anything but successful from a sales and marketing point of view so anything Sippl had to offer in that regard had value only as a bad example, or at best as a contrary indicator of what to do. Perhaps INPR wasn't overly impressed with VSGN's product after all and just needed a springboard, albeit an extremely expensive one.
