What if, by some miracle or tragic boobsledding [sic] accident...

Well, I wouldn't wish ill-health or accident on anyone so let's just say he decides that cable modems are the way to go, ends up getting fired and lands a job guest hosting The Jerry Springer Show. Corel will simply start the process of finding a real CEO. Note that this would not fall under the category of "replacement" in Cowpland's case.

AFA finding a way to make money, one way to do that would be to put in place a development process which wasn't a financial black hole with no measure of forward progress and no means of measuring it in the first place. You can go back to the CD-ROM titles, their dismal Java effort, and so on. What you will find is a lot of wheel spinning and false starts sprinkled liberally with total failure. They don't know how to develop modern software, that's a given, and until they get the process under proper management they will never make a dime.
