Bigs,

This is to all. Before I read through all the trash and hate on this thread (54 messages tonight since last night) I want to remind all of you that nothing in life is all that important. What you are all arguing about has no meaning in the course of eternity.

I just came from a party/wake of sorts for a person on my island who recently died. She wanted a party, not a wake. Her ashes were spread in the ocean. She was a person who performed so many "Random acts of kindness" that a couple hundred people showed up and brought food and remembered her. We have all been doing that for the past week, and I hope this event will bring closure. She touched many more lives than were able to be at the services....if you could call them that. No priest or parson. She was not that way. The bar that she owned had something of the atmosphere of "Cheers" where everyone knows your name and it feels like family. We who have no stake in the estate feel bad because some of her children are acting like vultures picking at the corpse. The estate is valued at 1.2 million. They don't want to lose a nickle. That's why everyone brought food because the kids didn't want the estate to provide it. She was a beautiful lady and I will miss her. I could go on and on but won't.

My point is that what we are arguing here is money. What is money? A form of exchange to buy beer and wine, pizza's, food, clothing. Rather than bartering for goods and services we use money. BUT, is that money going to bring us respect and the love of our peers? No way. My friend didn't have much real cash to spend until recently since every dime went back into the business to keep it going. She gave of her time and encouragement. Commodities I find lacking here. We all need to remember to be kind to eachother. I think we are forgetting that.

Ginger
