Joe, of course you are correct. Steve Snyder told me recently that they were working to make the MkII into a modular design. This means customers could buy exactly the number of ports they need. This is important because the cost per port (per Roy S) is in the range of $25,000 to the OEM, and twice that to the end user.
Also, there was that recent unauthorized article about Ancor developing for IBM an Ethernet (or was it Gig Ether?) to Fibre channel bridge. wj
