yeah i did the same thing last year when i opened up an account with lombard(now discover direct or some such thing)...then waterhouse seemed to get better but now their performance has degraded again over the last 2-3 months...it's amazing to me how waterhouse can be named the #1 online broker...whoever makes a claim like that either doesn't have a clue or is getting paid off! wade

Just to add my 2 cents that as far as speed of getting connected is concerned DATEK beat Waterhouse pants down. I use DATEK for active trading and Waterhouse for evening/early morning order entry. I have resorted to entering orders during off hours and call the branch to change/cancer orders.
