what a short this is turning out to be. Another few comments like this and we will see 20 again real soon. The biggest problem is rising inventories, which relates to lower sales(40%) which relates to missing the quarter big time....

Patrick - The only reliable numbers in this business are from IDC and Dataquest. ZD hypes whoever is buying ads. I have found no correlation between their 'intelligence' and anything happening in the real world. That said, I have heard tales of CPQ sales guys giving each other 'high-fives' over the internally published sales numbers. They claim that sales out are very strong. I am not convinced one way or another but we'll know for sure in a week or so when they announce earnings. I am cautiously optimistic based on what I have heard.
