My brother noticed a grammatical error in your profile quote. You incorrectly used it's instead of its. Must be an aggie thing. :-)

Your brother isn't that smart, but it was nice of you to give him credit. I'll have to fix it!

Actually, I'm a ASU alum, wife is the aggie. Grammar is optional at ASU where Prop 48 athletes need to bolster the school image. For some reason, we haven't learned to pay our athletes though like those fine, upstanding Texas schools...<grin>

Be sure and tell your brother I'll never be able to eat a burrito from Taco Bell again....thanks to him.

Chris:

I'm sure that your knowledge and understanding of Nasdaq is among the best of anyone on SI. I was hoping you could take the time to shed some light on the effects of the new Nasdaq proposal seeking to replace SOES and SelectNet with a single system as well as establish a voluntary Nasdaq order book.

If approved and implemented, how will these changes affect the individual daytrader? Is it a good proposal for fellow traders, or just another attempt by the market makers to gain further advantage? Specifically how do you think it might improve the system, and how would it stack the odds further against the daytrader?

I respect your opinion and thoughts and would appreciate any comments you might have on this question.

Thanks,
-Eric
