DO you know him that well that you know how he thinks? Or are you just wildly extrapolating what you perceive to be true based on your limited conversations about stocks? Bob, this thread like a lot of others is about 30 substance and 70% filler. Thats what happens when there is very little news to come out about a company and when you have people state things that either do or don;t pan out. Sort of how the mythical BOP approach has utterly failed in analyzing this stock. BTW, this post like many others by you, tony, Robert D. Barry, some by henry, and others fall into the 70% category.

Agree with you on negative posts that have real substance behind them. I much appreciated Rick Harmon's contrary view of the company. My own opinion is that it has value explaining why Ligand hasn't already moved up, while I disagree that it is still relevant. I still like Murphy, but I don't subscribe or follow his advice anymore. I've seen his ego cause him to ride far too many stocks into the abyss. (I wonder if he's still pumping XOMA, INSV and AMLN?) He just can't admit a mistake.
