I can't recall anyone stealing my stuff before. Usually in those days I was the one in need. Couldn't quite bring myself to ripping someone else off. If memory serves me, I think we paid one week in advance. I just remembered why we got our money back. When we went into the landlord apartment I noticed a couple of photos on his mantle. I told him I recognized these people and even babysat the kid in the photo. It turned out to be his brother and nephew. If you can believe this, the kids name was Dinky. As soon as I said the kids name the landlord knew I wasn't kidding. We chatted for a bit and he gave us back our money. mikey
