You may be ignoring the possibility of the exact reverse.

If Asia heals, bargain hunters could be heading back first. When they are done, it shouldn't take more than a few positive comments on one of many channels available these days and the herd, aka boomers, will be throwing all their retirement into Asian funds.

Instead of low rates, we may be looking at higher rates just to attract funds. Then again, if Asia heals ......

When are we going to see that Tankan Report on the wires anyway?
