Woah, wait a minute. With Neurostock Len described having to train new nets for a minimum of 100 hours. You talk about 30 hours, which is a big improvement. But Brainmaker talks about being 10-100 times faster than the competition and training networks in minutes:

Plus they have their CNaps board which is really fast if you've got the big bucks. They also claim to be incredibly easy to use, which obviously NGO is not. The other thing that I notice is that they have only two versions of the program, economy and professional, and don't have any artificial restrictions on the number of days of data you can feed in or the number of neurons. I will probably go with NGO/profit as it is a little cheaper, and because that way I can access the discussion group, but Brainmaker does look pretty good too, and would probably be my second choice. I gather that you like NGO/profit now that you are used to it. Would you recommend it?

Next question I have is where will I get data? I have no data now, nor any sites or programs for getting any. I can get quotes from schwab, but I know nothing of Metastock format. Do I need a special download program? Will I have to subscribe to some web site in order to get data in that form?

Thanks again for your help,

Carl
