guys, if I had the requisite smoothness to talk to these company people and suck info out of them, I'd do it......but I don't have that skill....is there someone out there who has experience talking to companies in these kinds of situations? Hey, I know.......Forthright, you've done that "biotech thing" a few times before, give us a hand and help us longs....you've got contacts, don't you? It also occurs to me that someone could call Battelle and see if anyone can throw us a bone.....

***TO ALL***

Well, it looks as though we have raised some interest in our latest discusion. I was PM'd by someone who would like their name to remane silent. I asked if I could post the message following and they agreed to do so under the condition their name not be revealed. Please respond to me and I will pass this info on. Thank you for understanding. I am not sure of the scientist's names mentioned other than Dr. Dreese. If you know, tell me and I'll pass it on. "They" have agreed to supply me any info gathered. Again, thank you and "They". Message follows,

"Am a consultant in pre-clinical trials for a pharma company. Will say that it is more than likely that any company that is working in the field of a blood substitute, already knows about Sanguine. They have probably already done their own assays on the product to check it out.

First: I am not very familiar with SGNC and have only read parts of this thread.

Second: Would wonder if the animal trials that are being done at Battelle are Primate trials. These are VERY expensive....Battelle is the best at Primate studies so I'm wondering if this is true.

Third: Wonder where the money is coming from to pay Battelle?

Fourth: Would think that SGNC's best bet is for a buyout.

Fifth: Don't call Baxter or J&J. Biotech is a small world. Many of the scientists working on a blood substitute already know each other. Some may have worked together already.

Sixth: I will ask some of my contacts if they have heard anything about the principal players in this venture. Get me the names of the scientists and I'll check. My contacts are excellent genetic engineers who were key players in the cloning and development of TPA for Genentech.

Hope this helps!"
