Thanks for the list of acronyms. Now I know what people are saying on these threads.

I wouldn't worry about Americans being disarmed. We're not in China, where the government can tell everybody to get rid of their dogs and the next day a millions dogs are dead. It's not a question of the government -- it's the character of the people. Americans are way too out of control to allow the government to screw with them in that way, and they won't give up their guns. My point, and the point of a lot of "gun-controllers", is that there is a reasonable limit to possessing firearms. IMHO (first time I've used that), the limit is breached when somebody starts packing a piece on city streets. What they do in their own home is their own business, no matter how stupid I think it is.
