Lakers--Andrew H on the FAMH thread posted that Fidelity allows you to short BBs by posting a hefty collateral. Otherwise, I only know of Canadian and off shore outfits that let regular investors short non-marginable securities.

As it's not my cup of tea(not to mention the reduced return on investment due to the collateral), I never pursued it further.

Now Lakers, don,t just say that you can,t short a BB stock without putting some links or names of someone that I can speak with because I have been informed by several knowledgeable persons. So just because you say this is true does not make it golden, put some verifiable facts behind your statements and I'll verify them myself and then I'll believe what you post, until then I only see you posting what you think not what is true.
