[edited] here's where I saw float numbers:

cbs.marketwatch.com

"Online bookseller Amazon's (AMZN) short shares rose to 8.7 million from 8.6 million. Amazon Chief Financial Officer Joy Covey said the company doesn't disclose its float. However, public documents suggest the number of shares in circulation are in the range of 9.5 million to 17.5 million. Nasdaq couldn't confirm the number."

Dan,

I believe I read it on a Bloomberg article, but I am not 100% sure, read a lot abot AMZN this weekend all over the place. All of it bad though.

Some advice, if you want to short...KEEP TRYING, one time it will go through.

Seriously, there is no reason to not disclose unless something needs to be kept in the bag,
or if you are a SNOOT.

Dan,

I can assure you the mangement at Amazon.con discloses nothing that is not required by law. The less you and I know, the better.

Glenn
