>>>dj, if i sell short, a management team manipulates the stock up, i sell at a huge loss and you think i don't have a suit? gee whiz?!?!?!?!<<<

Skeeter,

That's exactly right and the key word is "manipulates." Now if the company had any reasonable fundamentals to otherwise argue for the rise in price, then a suit wouldn't have been justified.....so, show me the fundamentals!!!!

We have to compare apples with apples, he did not sell at a huge loss, if anything he has to cover, which if he hasn't there are no damages to report, but just an intent to be damaged.

What management team does not want to increase share value?

If a broker or brokers do not realize the risk in shorting stock what can I say, even I understand that.

How about this one, a broker shorts a stock and for whatever reason gets caught shorting and has to cover, then does what ever he can to damage the company so he does not have to cover.

Actually, I think the only people who are entitled to anything at this point is the shareholder who invested in the stock, either from the company or the brokers who shorted it, or both.
