Most data show that sub-zeros account for 20% to 40% of the U.S. RETAIL market (varies by month). The US RETAIL market itself is about 20% +/- 5% of the US market.

If they are, Intel will still make money on them.

AMD and Cyrix haven't been profitable in a year - and as prices drop - they will become more unprofitable.

As for Intel, their XEON product family will boost margins at the high end, and faster Pentium II's, Katmais, Dixons, etc will help maintain profits in the mid - range.
