Off-topic, I updated my son's PC today from Win95a to Windows 98, then upgraded his 2GB drive to FAT32. Including time for defrag, scandisk, and an attempt to download updates from MSFT's web site (there were none), it took about an hour.

It boots a little quicker, runs a hair faster, and looks a little better. Nothing spectacular but, IMHO, it was time well spent.

Not true. DirectX 6.0 will be available for Win 98/95 in July. You can get a beta version right now. I find the author's comments regarding Cayenne and Slot 1 suspect as well.
