Opinions on [IVI] Internet Ventures:::: [for shorting only]
After reading their news and website, I feel that this company is more scam than real. Here are the reasons I base my opinion:

1. No corporate address [only IR contact name/address/phone] Where would I go visit corporate headquarters?? My guess is Vancouver or Denver. At the same time, they continually ask for my address, etc.

2. This is merely a web-site developer and IP. Press release implies that company could be competition to At Home Network, Roadrunner, etc.
That is like opening up a chain of burger stands in your area, then saying, "look out McDonalds and Burger King."

3. Any company can resell cable modems, but without a bonafide deal with cable carriers that have published circulation, the cable modems are worthless. [Because my Windows 95 is an upgrade of 3.1, At Home tells me I must either format my drive and reload Win95 or buy a new computer...before I can use the cable modem sitting at my feet.] That goes to show how hard getting a new technology working in real world can be.

4. Buying stock direct is more risky than thru say Nasdaq. Company can sell investors all the stock they want, then decide NOT to do an IPO afterall. Now you are holding worthless paper of a company that doesn't even trade stock.

5. Notice how they will only sell to people living in certain states. No doubt because those in other states have rights against the issuers.

6. Website looks amateur by today's standards.

7. Very little info on past performance, financials, etc. This is passed over to get back to the hype of possible future performance.

8. If I were to play IVI upon it's IPO, I would short it heavily upon opening day. This is a penny stock now and should be valued as one. I would cover at less than .20.

9. Stock split before IPO is merely a carrot held out to entice investors.

If it comes out at 20 dollars[close to impossible], thats a 100 bagger. So in that respect [only], this is a good find. Would NEVER buy stock direct at 11. Shame on them.
