I'd love to see some of these surprises manifesting! Actually I will install WIn98 tonight... on three machines here. I'll do it for the increased effciciency of hard drive storage, to permit stuff to load faster, to gain a bit of more space due to the cluster size change, to get it to fire upa nd close down faster, AND to cut back on closures due to internal errors. I think my ststems are heat sensitive, but I'm willing to spend some time with 98 if it will slick thigs up. How does this relate to CPQ? If I'm willing to go thru this effort for a "little" gain, and others are, perhaps we will see some surprises re desktop and laptop sales. All to the good. Doug
