Fran, I disagree with you. I think you mean there are many Internet investment groups out there. A newsletter can never pump and dump a stock, because it only provides an idea about a stock and why we should invest. Of course, whether investing your own money or not is up to you. Like the Undervalued Dog, I have followed it in the past six months, the return has been more than 5,000% (BTW, if you know there are many newsletter out there like this one, please let me know and I love to follow). A recommendation from a newsletter will greatly help a stock, because it provides publicity. Without the UD, I would have never invested in GNNX, because I just don't know GNNX is so good. Because of the recommendation by the UD, I am doing DD and gradually increasing my position on GNNX.

Like some Internet investment groups, a leader just calls buy, buy, and buy, and does not give a clue why. Then his fellows just follow. You may want to call this kind of investment is "pump and dump".
