MeDroogies, I, unfortunately, have a long history with the Republicans, and am giving them one final chance to clear the tent and get back to their Libertarian roots. I'm not hopeful. At that point, I will probably join. I went through the same process. As a teenager, I thought the Democratic Party best reflected my ideals. Their socialist leanings eventually turned me off and I switched to Republican. I now believe, unfortunately, that the libertarian wing of the Republican Party is doomed to permanent minority status and that libertarians should leave the Party of Lincoln to the conservatives and fundamentalists. I truly hope the Libertarian Party becomes a viable alternative for the vast numbers of Democrats and Republicans who are unhappy with the status quo. Regards, JB
