With all due respect, it appears that you are all missing the forest for the trees.

It's not the government. The government only represents a system. And I think we'd all agree that democracy is the best available to date.

On the other hand the government is made up of people. And therein lies the problem.

Think for a moment; If a law is well written it should eventually create order... no?

If you are a lawyer you earn considerably more money from chaos... no?

Why do we continue to elect lawyers to write our laws? It's no different than hiring the fox to guard the henhouse.

After all the money from the tobbacco thing is a boomer for the lawyers. And forget all the bs about congress changing the fees. thats a put up deal from the gitgo.

Rich, with lots more on the subject

OFF TOPIC My good friend, your friends at Ligget and Meyers et al sat around and plotted how they would get CHILDREN hooked on tobacco, knowing full well the consequences, censored their own scientists' conclusions on the health consequences, hid behind lawyer/client privilege, added ingredients to make their killer product more addictive. Please don't insult my intelligence by using the "don't trust Government" smokescreen...hey, I like that, "smokescreen", to defend them. I don't care who does it, but out of business is where they belong. And yes, for those adults who chose to partake with full knowledge of the consequences, I have no sympathy for what happens to them.

NOW...what does this have to do with DGIV??

HRAKA,
Very good post! I think that I would trust the mafia before I would ever trust the government, sad but that's the way I feel. This administration has to be the slimiest that we have ever had and clinton promised us the most ethical administration ever, by his standards obviously which are dangerously low. Bought another 1000 shares of DGIV at the close, hard to pass up these bargain basement prices.
Regards, Tony.
