Alydaar Awarded AMD Year 2000 Contract

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Alydaar Software Corporation (Nasdaq: ALYD - news) has been awarded a contract for Year 2000 remediation services by Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD - news). The contract calls for Alydaar to remediate AMD code utilizing Alydaar's SmartCode(R) reengineering technology to provide Year 2000 compliant software.

The Year 2000 problem arises from computer programs throughout the world that read only the last two digits in a year. The 00 reading for 2000 could cause severe errors in some programs or could be misinterpreted as 1900. Estimates to repair the Year 2000 problem within the worldwide market exceed $600 billion.

Robert Gruder, Alydaar's CEO, stated ''Alydaar is delighted to be working with AMD. Their Year 2000 team's knowledge of the issues is quite strong and I am very pleased AMD has selected Alydaar to be its remediation vendor.''

2 advantages:

#1 Split transaction bus protocol. Mainly for multi processor systems.

#2 Far better electrical characteristics of the GTL+ buffers make scaling to higher frequencies much easier.
