Dear Rick: I have given up on "thoughts" at the moment. Personally, I find it hard to imagin the MM's are the root of the evil. I wish Fiero Bros though was not one of TAVA's MM's. I wouldnt trust them at all. I personally am prepared to wait until earnings are out for this and next quarter and ride this thing but I am surprised stock has performed so poorly today. JDN

Celebrity appearances don't carry much wattage, in valuation terms. (Their local effects on price can be easily flattened by sell-offs.)

When an appearance is anticipated, daytraders will take a quick position, and exit just before the appearance. They have no interest in content, nor are they going to speculate on any enduring price gain. They know they can get a 1/2 point "anticipation hit." It is a microcosm of the addage "buy on the rumor, sell on the news."

If a company is totally unknown, appearances can be worth a quick, enduring gain, but for known companies the effect is almost all local hooplah, because there will almost always be speculation on, and disappointment about, the Next Great Announcement.
