If the whole internet (not stocks) went down, that may scare some investors out of it. I think that's unlikely. If you must short an internet stock, buy puts with money you won't miss. Technology and the internet is still the future. That won't change. There is so much room for improvement in ISPs and internet service it's disgusting! Screw the valuation arguments! If they held water wouldn't AMZN, AOL, YHOO and co tanked a few hundred points ago? Apparently, people are looking at revenue growth, among other things, which has been very impressive.
