re women are more emotional and nurturing than men Obviously I agree with you completely. Again this is a generalization but its mostly a true one, as so many generalizations are. My brother said to me, when I had babies "The most wonderful gift you can give your children is hope for life. You do that by exposing them to all sorts of experiences, go places, do things, show them that life is exciting." I took that to heart. I could see it was correct. But so many women, as you wife was, think that soothing, comforting, etc etc is always the thing to do. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isnt. I can remember when my daughter was in gymnastics. I bought her a balance beam so she could practice practice practice. She was trying a move she couldnt do and was so frustrated she was crying. I said, mildly because I wasnt sure, "Isnt it time to stop and forget it for a while? You're crying." She said "NO. I have to keep trying. I'll stop when its time to stop" People need to decide for themselves what they want to bear. It isnt up to anyone else to intervene. And that means intervene with money, food, medical care, etc. Not with "other people's money". Because when its your money you will be careful who you help. When its not your money (i.e. the govt using tax money) you dont care. Freeus I'm not sure this is clear but I'll send it anyway, have to go watch the market.
