and they do and its far more efficient and gives the people the choice to help where they see fit. i for one would be much happier donating my income tax to roswell hospital in buffalo, my church, or my salvation army etc. as opposed to mandatorily subsidizing the national endowment of the arts, big beauracracies, and politicians pet programs. i agree completely. they have the power we supply them with in the form of taxes, also why we are in such a delicate and dangerous situation today with overflowing tax receipts........obviously the money should be given back to the rightful owners but take a look at the debate.....where can we spend it, on what new programs and pork legislation. guess what, economic cycle says things will downturn eventually and we will be stuck with a gorilla on our back like nobody could possibly have imagined with no way to fund it. anyone like to talk about depressions. poet.
