Doug,

I personally don't think VLSI will get back to 14 1/2 unless the SOX gets back to its low near 230. Semiconductor stocks are very volatile but the short term trend is up and I would only trade them from the long side. The move today is as irrational as the move up when people bought the stock with the hopes of an LSI merger. It isn't generally a good idea to buy stocks solely with the hopes of a takeover. I bought some stock back today at 16 13/16, 16 5/8, and 16 7/16 and only need another 2000 shares to bring my position back up to where it was before I started selling last week between 19 5/8 and 20 1/16. This is a buying opportunity IMO.

Good luck,
Dan

Hi Doug, I've been more interested (concerned) that VLSI hasn't broken through the 26 week moving average (currently about $19.46) since the second week in February. It's jabbed upward towards it twice since, but each time its fallen just short of the mark.

For me, the price has to fall below $15 to get me interested in acquiring any more shares. I'm content with the buys I made over the last few months, but would like to see some return on those dollars sometime soon.

Best regards, Tom
