I would have to say to prepare yourself psychologically for partial fills. If your stock relatively non volatile you might want to use a GTC order instead (the partial will get filled the next day and etc without incurring an extra commission charge).

What I think is the fact that the ISLD crowd consist of a different set of customers than one that goes through regular marker makers. With ISLD you get to become the best bid/ask, but you give up the fact that anyone else can hit you if a single share order if they so choose. I've seen on the ISLD order book regularly orders which are 50, 5, 3450 and other non-1000 shares multiples. If you're on the other side of such a trade, you will get partially filled. If the stock is a slow moving stock, you will of course wait for quite a bit before the rest of your order is filled (if at all).
