Doug,

There are many moving averages that people use, i.e. 9 day, 20 day, 30 day, 50 day, 200 day, etc...There are too many of them and I personally don't think they are very reliable trading indicators. VLSI is below it's middle bollinger band which increases the risk that it will test the lower bollinger band near 14 1/2. But stocks don't always oscillate between their upper and lower bands and I don't think it will happen this time unless the SOX tests 230.
