ATT is not a leader, but rather a follower. Sad but true, it is nothing more than a Johnny come lately. Malone sold it his least attractive business. He must see that cable has peaked and it was best to move on.

The least reliable system that I deal with is cable tv. It is always out. If you are using it to trade stocks you sit there on the edge of your seat wondering when the next outage will be. Then the next question you ask your self is, I wonder how long this time? Why would they invest in a maintenance hog like this?

ATT is recognized as a leader, when in fact it is far from it. ATT needs bandwidth! Whoever has the most wireless bandwidth will win this game. I will bet that is where Malone is moving all his chips to.
