Poor Jenkins. The story preceding his appearance was about Gus Guts, a stuffed toy where you can reach down his throat and pull out his guts. Essentially the lead in was "...I think that's his spleen... Now here's the CEO of TAVA..." The interviewer gave one the impression that the reason Jenkins was on was because of all the calls CNBC was getting from daytraders. They then showed a graph of how volatile the stock has been, going so far as to stretch it out over a year so the range was from 1 to 14. Worse yet, rather than focus on the terrible problem we face with embedded systems in the world, the interviewer asked about life for TAVA after 2000. Although Jenkins did a good job explaining about retained/spinoff business from Y2K clients, he was forced into a more defensive posture. And before you could blink an eye, the interview was over. Good politicians know never to directly answer questions unless they exactly fit what they had prepared for in rehearsal. Perhaps Jenkins thought the interview would last longer and perhaps he'd have more chances. Obviously that was not the case. Too bad. - Jeff
