The decline in KS incidence is dramatic, according to this article on Medscape, "Triple Therapy Has Cut Down on Skin Disease Due to HIV", which reports declines of 60-80% and more. medscape.com -- RCM

Re: "the decline [in KS] may be temporary as the number of patients failing PI's continues to increase..." The decline in KS began before the introduction of PI's and has more to do, in my opinion, with changed sexual practices in the gay community. KS, now shown to have a unique viral etiology, was confined almost exclusively to gay AIDS patients and was probably a sexually transmitted disease. I wouldn't count on a big turnaround in case numbers. DMB
