SBC Warburg has been wrong for a year now. I don't expect them to be correct all of a sudden.

For a long time, they thought LVCI would lose $0.48 in FY98 (April), and earn $0.02 in FY99. They were way off. JulyQ looks closer to $0.10 than $0.04. And FY00/CY99 looks closer to $1.00 (fully-taxed), $1.50 on cash earnings basis.

AG Edwards has been on the money: ($0.40) FY98, $0.71 FY00. Just look at how Visx analysts severely underestimated 1998. Visx won't earn merely $1.28 as was believed last year. Visx will earn over $2.00. LVCI should surprise too. Although I wish they'd start acquiring more practices or something. LZRCF is looking more and more like the market dominator LVCI professed it would be.

Charlie,

I think you are right about "terrific EPS momentum."

I outsmarted myself by writing calls on 2/3 my position, then closed that out with a nice profit when VISX fell a couple of weeks ago to 43 but, (this is where I really got too cute) then sold the calls again on the Dec 50s for $15. They likely will be called away.

I used the call premium to buy some LVCI.

Too much time on my hands : )
